Audio On How To Deal With Criticism Contributed by Our Friends at Real Men Real Style

In today's episode of 7 Good Minutes, we get some great tips on how to deal with criticism like a pro.

Criticism is an unavoidable part of life. Whether you're a student, a professional, or even just a regular person living your life, chances are you've dealt with some form of criticism before. And while it's never pleasant to be on the receiving end of criticism, there are some ways you can make the experience less painful and even use it to your advantage.

Here are some tips on how to deal with criticism like a pro.

Accept It

The first step to dealing with criticism is to accept it. This doesn't mean that you have to agree with the critic or even like what they're saying, but it's important to at least acknowledge that they have a point.

If you can't do this, then you're likely to get defensive and react poorly, which will only make the situation worse.

Try To See Their Point Of View

Even if you don't agree with the critic, it's important to try and see their point of view. After all, they wouldn't be criticizing you unless they thought they had a good reason. By trying to see things from their perspective, you may be able to gain some valuable insights into why they feel the way they do.

Don't Take It Personally

It can be easy to take criticism personally, especially if it feels like it's directed at you as a person rather than your actions or words. However, it's important to remember that most criticism is not personal and is not meant to be hurtful. If you can separate yourself from the criticism, then it will be much easier to deal with.

Use It As A Learning Opportunity

If you're able to take the criticism in stride and not let it get to you, then you can use it as a learning opportunity. Use the feedback to help improve yourself and your work so that you can avoid making the same mistakes in the future.

Remember that no one is perfect and everyone gets criticized at some point or another. The key is not to let it get to you and use it as a learning opportunity instead. If you can do that, then you'll be able to deal with criticism like a pro.
