I share what I learned after hitting the wall and failing to graduate college so I could stop sabotaging my success and employ the superior fundamental principles of the science of high achievement that enabled me to get every job and career I went after upon graduation, started a mortgage and real estate company that netted a $60,000 profit in the first month of operation, and grew it from just an idea into seven companies grossing $8 million a year. I became a full-time life coach in 2006.

Big fan of 3% man here, got this book on audio to continue my training. There's a lot of great info, lessons, and stories about CCW's life and I was inspired to create more content for my YouTube channel. But there's also a lot about economy, guns, laws, the constitution, etc that wasn't very interesting or helpful for me. A bit about health as well which is my field so I didn't get much out of that except for nostalgia as most/all of what was presented was popular in the 90s. But I'm 100% sure that 100% of people will get something out of it, and that some people will get 100% out of it.

This book needs to be looked at as a companion piece to 3% man. In 3% man as well as all of Corey’s Articles and YouTube videos he discusses self improvement first before you focus on getting the girl. This is essential to eliminating scarcity mindset. In this book Corey’s tells the reader about his own journey to enlightenment and how and when he learned certain things. It puts everything in context really. He also explains his struggles and really how much went into his achieving the things he has. Some of it doesn’t make sense immediately as in why he is writing about it but that’s when you go back, because it all matters. Corey has a message but in order to understand it you have to know the whole story. I only take one star off because those last couple chapters could have been cut, I know how passionate Corey is about politics but the book didn’t need those chapters

Disclaimer: I've been an avid Corey Wayne reader for almost two years now.

Now, for the review! The book itself is a journey through Corey's life. I'll start right away and say that this is NOT a book for everyone, and Corey understands this! The type of person that will get the most from this book will look at the circumstances Corey was faced with, and analyze his reactions to those situations in order to make a good choices as life throws things at you.

The most central tenant to Corey's entire story is the concept of self reliance. For anyone that doesn't already know, this is what Corey is ALL about. If you're looking to see how one man was thrown through the cheeze grater and came out on the other side, and learn from it to become self reliant? This is DEFINTELY for you. Corey gave me the motivation I needed to completely uproot my life, and this book gave me the knowlege I needed to begin constructing a new life that has already made me radically happier.

Prior to purchasing Mastering Yourself, I read How to be a 3% Man twice, and didn't even have to read it another 8-13 times to tell everyone how good of a book it was. The book is so good that I'm going to read it at least another 8-13 times, regardless. Like Corey says, the best students read his books 10-15 times.

The 3% Man message is simple. The book goes into detail about how to improve your pickup, dating and relationship skills with women. The mindset is simple. It's all about having an abundance mindset. Not only do I understand the message that the Coach is relaying, I even take away key points by reading between the lines. Like how to improve the relationship with myself, my family members, co-workers and friends. I can confidently tell people to buy Corey's first book with ease. Would recommend.

After reading Mastering Yourself however, I was disappointed with the structure and examples used; the book being un-organized.

Yes, the coach attempts to bring the mindset from the first book into his second book, talks about the benefits of Network Spinal Analysis, and the importance of diet and exercise But where the coach falls short is when he attempts to accurately connect the dots with current world dilemmas, the abundant mentality of the 3% man, and his own life story.

The entirety of Mastering Yourself is written in Autobiography format, and it's as if you're in the room with Corey, having a conversation with him. You know, to be honest, Corey is one of the guys you could probably become friends with off the street. He gives off that type of vibe. A genuine, good guy.

The coach begins the book by speaking about his childhood, then we are taken into his college and post college years. But from about half way through the book towards it's final chapters, we are constantly jumping through his earlier years, where Corey brings up old memories or stories and tries to relate them with highly controversial and conflicting social, political and ethical movements and/or groups. The coach tries to prove these ideas right or wrong, brings in the abundance mentality, talks about unity consciousness, but jumps to conclusions too fast by not taking the adequate time to describe how to lead and solve these conflicts with freedom, love and prosperity.

It's as if the Coach is trying to tell you his life story, and push and connect the self-improvement concepts he's learned, and bundle it all together in this book.

Well, to put it shortly, it didn't really work. And it was really messy and all over the place.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Corey talking about his life story and sharing his experiences, I just expected a better formatting of how the book was written. I also expected a better connection between past and modern day dilemmas and conflicts, his own life story, and applying these 3% skills into my life. Should I say, "C'Mon Man!"

Maybe I should read the book another 9-14 times, I don't know. But how can you expect the self-developed reader to make connections after constantly going back and forth, jumping through hoops with Mr. Wayne's life story, seeking the abundance mentality, diving into the self-improvement scene, while also understanding the full depth and detail of past and modern day dilemmas? I got the message from How to Be a 3% man after the first read. The book connected with me on an emotional level. Why not Mastering Yourself? Everyone has a different life story and upbringing. Do I need to read the book another 9-14 times, or should I expect to fully comprehend these lessons after I have dived into entrepreneurship, the business world, or the Middle-East Conflicts?

Looks like the coach tried to summarize all of the main points from modern day conflicts and make conclusions with each sub-chapter with a quick, attention grabbing answer, all while tying in the 3% Man abundant mentality, thinking he would bring his points across.

These problems aren't as easy to fix as we think they are Coach. I hope you realize that.

    Confusing.

Corey, if you ever come across this review, I have many suggestions to make your book "Mastering Yourself" more appealing to the 3% readers. This book had great promise, and I was expecting it to emulate and follow the footsteps of the message you brought along with your first book, but was disappointed with how messy Mastering Yourself turned out to be.

Corey has had a difficult life, but he always kept his focus on his dreams, what he wanted. Yes, we all go through our ups and downs, and he had PLENTY of downs. But he always fell back and regrouped, took some time to figure out what happened and why. And then created a new game plan and got the ball rolling again as they say

I have gone through the proverbial test of fire myself, and moving back in the direction that I want. What Corey found out in his earlier years that some people will do absolutely anything to drag you down to their level, and laugh when they do it. Been there and done that, I have the T-shirt to prove it.

I thought mine was bad, but I am humbled by what Corey went through and came back on top as was his dream. You rock Corey!

Un plaisir à lire ! Un parcours inspirant. J’ai beaucoup aimé la première partie du livre et sur les leçons de vie.

A pleasure to read! I truly admire how Corey got out after the experiences he went through! The first part of the book is the one I lived the most. Basically family and behaviors but more importantly the fact that you need to choose your peers carefully.

Look here, if you looking for some intellectual lefty high brow motivation, this is not for you. However, if you'd like to hear someone's frank account of their interesting but normal life, with all their trials and tribulations and the persistence it takes to become great, then read this. It's a personal story, but there is no trumpeting ego here. Here's someone who had nothing, started with nothing, was focused on always becoming better, learning from their mistakes, looking in the mirror and owning the challenges, has made multiple mistakes, cusses like there's no tomorrow - and finally reaches their dream. Corey still works though! If your long term dream is to makes loads of money and lie on the beach for the rest of you life, this is not for you. This is for people who are determined to discover their purpose, your worth, the value you bring to society. For me, it's been a page turner and definitely a book I wish I had come across a decade ago - but was only written in 2018!

Very fulfilling and motivating read. I have read 3% Man 11 times and because of the benefits and changes it made in myself, I couldn't wait to read Corey's new book.. This book was right on time and felt like a natural progression to being overall self reliant in your life. It covered topics of importance to me such as health, spirituality, career and the state of the world. There's a lot of practical ideas that I have already implemented. I'm sure I will find more in future readings. I just picked up the audio and find it a nice compliment to the kindle.. Excellent work ..thank you from Toronto 😊
